Jimmy's Hall Review
Hi everyone!
Last week I watched Jimmy's Hall movie, I liked this film, It's a very good film, I enjoyed the movie.
This film by Ken Loach same director of The Wind that Shakes the Barley is about Jimmy Gralton activist and leader of revolutionary workers group in Ireland. He is exiled of United States and he goes to the home in Ireland with his mother and the rest of the family and town. I liked this film because shows the fight of the Ireland people against the church and State. At the same time I learn about the Irish history and their politic last and during civil war.
My favorite character is James, because he is very enthusiastic, funny, happy and he fight for his political convictions. he worries for the rest of people. And he wants the better for the nation, not the church and the state think.
Well, one thing I liked about the film is the fight of this people and their attempt for change the nation, and found the peace in this place. Also, I liked their happiness when James arrived to home, and he opens the old Hall for the people dance, study, work, and other things. And I didn't like the scene where the father hits his daughter with a whip, I don't like the violence in the movies.
I have two favorite scenes, first when the Jimmy's mother hides the key for the police doesn't catch Jimmy, and when the people go to the Hall and all dance in pairs, It's a very funny moment.

The scene when the fascist idiot hits his daughter Marie was horrible, but I think it was very realistic :c
